The dashed year didn't have this election here: it opens the closest office, written below.
G é Eleição Geral: presidente, governador, senador e deputados. L é Eleição Local (municipal): prefeito e vereador. De 1933 a 1990 o TSE não publica cargo municipal, então esses anos são todos G.
The same office appears twice in the year a place voted on a different date from the rest of the country (because of a postponement, for example).
In 2018, 13 candidates ran for President of the Republic, according to data from Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE). Jair Bolsonaro (PSL), with 46.03% of the valid votes, and Fernando Haddad (PT), with 29.28%, advanced to the runoff. 117,364,654 of the 147,306,295 eligible voters turned out (79.67%).
Registered voters: voters who could vote. Turnout: how many went to the polls. Abstentions: how many stayed away (registered voters − turnout). Blank and Null: those who turned out but did not choose a valid candidate. Valid: the votes that count for candidates (turnout − blank − null); percentages are calculated on them.
