The dashed year didn't have this election here: it opens the closest office, written below.
G é Eleição Geral: presidente, governador, senador e deputados. L é Eleição Local (municipal): prefeito e vereador. De 1933 a 1990 o TSE não publica cargo municipal, então esses anos são todos G.
The same office appears twice in the year a place voted on a different date from the rest of the country (because of a postponement, for example).
In 1994, 8 candidates ran for President of the Republic, according to data from Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE). Fernando Henrique Cardoso (PSDB) won the election in the first round. 77,920,633 of the 94,710,636 eligible voters turned out (82.27%).
Registered voters: voters who could vote. Turnout: how many went to the polls. Abstentions: how many stayed away (registered voters − turnout). Blank and Null: those who turned out but did not choose a valid candidate. Valid: the votes that count for candidates (turnout − blank − null); percentages are calculated on them.
The TSE did not publish valid or null votes in 1994, so the percentage of valid votes is not shown.
