All elections35 anos in Brazil, de 1933 a 2026

G é Eleição Geral: presidente, governador, senador e deputados. L é Eleição Local (municipal): prefeito e vereador. De 1933 a 1990 o TSE não publica cargo municipal, então esses anos são todos G.

The same office appears twice in the year a place voted on a different date from the rest of the country (because of a postponement, for example).

In 2024, the TSE published the results for 5,546 city councils, with 58,153 city councillors elected. MDB elected the most city councillors (8,050), followed by PP (6,931) and PSD (6,582). In votes, the party with the most votes was MDB, with 11.5 million votes (10.25% of the votes, counting votes for candidates and votes cast only for the party label). Among the state capitals, the most votes for city councillor went to Lucas Pavanato (PL), in São Paulo, with 161,386 votes.

City Councillor is elected city by city. The number next to the abbreviation is how many cities in the state held this election.

This is not a chamber. These are 5,546 city councils added together: the number measures how many city councillors the party elected nationwide, not a caucus that meets together. Each council has its own quotient, so there is no single quotient to show here. It appears on each city's page. The party at the election counts: anyone who switched parties after taking office does not change this number.

Result updated by the TSE. After the election, the TSE changed who is listed as elected in 64 cities across the country; each city's page says who joined and who left the list of those elected. The lists already show the most recent status published by the TSE. Source: TSE, open candidate data.
