G é Eleição Geral: presidente, governador, senador e deputados. L é Eleição Local (municipal): prefeito e vereador. De 1933 a 1990 o TSE não publica cargo municipal, então esses anos são todos G.

The same office appears twice in the year a place voted on a different date from the rest of the country (because of a postponement, for example).

1990

In 1986, in Distrito Federal, Mauricio José Corrêa (PDT), João Assis Meira Filho (PMDB) and Roberto Pompeu de Sousa Brasil (PMDB) were elected to the Senate, according to data from Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

3 seats in the Federal Senate, split among 2 parties.

PMDBPartido do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro266.67%
PDTPartido Democratico Trabalhista133.33%

Elected seats, from the TSE results. This is the composition that came out of the ballot boxes, not the one the chamber had over the legislative term: anyone who switched parties after the election does not change this number. The count adds up those elected, without recalculating the quotient, so it matches the legal size of the chamber. A single party has an absolute majority.

This unit elected THREE senators in this election, not the two seats of the two-thirds renewal: all three seats each state has in the Federal Senate were filled at once. That is why the list shows three people elected, and not two as in the other units that year.

The Federal District created with Brasília only began electing representatives in 1986, when it chose senators and federal deputies for the National Constituent Assembly. The governor and district deputies were first elected in 1990, already under the 1988 Constitution.
