When an election is annulled (because the winner's mandate is revoked, the winner dies or the registration is denied), Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE) schedules a special election only for that office, in that city or state. Here are all of them, from 2004 to 2026. The year is the year of the vote: that is why an election held again in 2019 appears under 2019, and not under the year of the original race. Each row takes you to the results.
There are 649 special elections in total. Most are local: mayor and city council of a single city. Those for governor and senator, which are rarer, appear spread across the cities of the state that voted. They are not included in the totals elsewhere on the site: a special election is a separate event, not part of that year's regular election.
