G é Eleição Geral: presidente, governador, senador e deputados. L é Eleição Local (municipal): prefeito e vereador. De 1933 a 1990 o TSE não publica cargo municipal, então esses anos são todos G.

The same office appears twice in the year a place voted on a different date from the rest of the country (because of a postponement, for example).

Result updated by the TSE. After the election, the TSE changed who is listed as elected in 1 city of Minas Gerais: Martins Soares. Each city's page says who joined and who left the list of those elected. The lists already show the most recent status published by the TSE. Source: TSE, open candidate data.

This is not a chamber. Each race here has a single winner; the bar adds up how many city halls each party won in MG, which measures the party's strength in that election, not a caucus that meets together. Where there was a runoff, its result counts, and each place is counted only once. The total does not add up to 853: in 6 the TSE records no one elected: cases of a rejected registration or a dispute still being judged. And this total does not reach the number of municipalities in the country either: the Distrito Federal and Fernando de Noronha do not elect a mayor, and some municipalities had their election annulled and voted only in a supplementary election, counted separately. The party at the election counts: anyone who switched parties after taking office does not change this number.
