Method
- Vote: valid votes of the 2026 first round at each of the 94,087 polling places in Brazil (TSE, vote by polling station), excluding voting abroad.
- Profile of the place: education, age, sex and marital status of the voters registered at each place (TSE, 2022 profile, the most recent published by place). Income is the municipality's GDP per capita (IBGE); size is the municipality's number of voters in 2026.
- For each characteristic, the places are put in order and cut into 5 brackets with the same number of valid votes. The reading compares the bracket with the most with the bracket with the least.
- The vote is secret: the report shows the tendency of the places, not how each person voted.
- The sum of the valid votes of the places matches, vote for vote, the TSE count for governor and federal deputy in the 27 states.
